MANILA, Philippines?Fila really went big when it opened its newest awesome boutique at SM Megamall. In her short welcome speech, the gorgeous Cris Albert, Fila?s young brand owner, said, ?Fila can provide the best products to more people, like basketball, racquets, running and casual gear. There is definitely something for everyone.?
Fila presented after-summer programs entitled ?Hue are You?? and ?Do know what we did last summer.? Fila recently sponsored two of the country?s biggest competitions: Polo Cup in Manila Polo Club and the 2nd International Dragonboat Festival in Boracay.
The brand?s latest baby, Tiva!, was also introduced. This sporty Italian fashion is trendy, creative, fun and edgy.
Today, Fila has 25 stand-alone boutiques and, would you believe, 300 stores, dahlings, across the country. Not bad, huh!
Like in most Fila?s fun happenings, we dug into the yum-yummy array of finger food by Bizu while drowning ourselves in the overflowing Moet & Chandon, dahlings.
MOST power house
It was one of those nice-feeling afternoons when moi had just come from lunch in Ortigas. Since we were in the vicinity, we decided to check out this power house, MOST Law office, as in Marcos, Ochoa, Serapio and Tan. It was my first visit and moi was extremely curious to see this renowned law firm. But I had to make sure brilliant young lawyer Liza Araneta-Marcos was in, palanggas.
On the 30th floor of Tycoon Center Bldg., Pearl Drive, Ortigas, Pasig City, we were overwhelmed by the ultra-modern design. The entrance alone was a conversation piece where the receptionist welcomes you and asks politely with a smile to wait for your turn.
Once inside, we were met by Liza who toured us around this impressive law office. Cool colors match the ultra-modern design and furniture in different booths where other hotshots do their work.
The conference room has an awesome panoramic view of Bonifacio and Makati. Its ceiling and floor have glass panels.
After a quick chat, we met some of the bright, smart and young associates of the law firm, dahlings. They are Sherlyne Goboy, Amylex del Pano, Elaine Masukat and Ana Liza Logan. One look at them, moi could see the dedication of these gals to their work, dahlings.
After our goodbyes and on the way back to Makati I thought to myself, all these young lawyers will definitely make a mark in the future.
Indeed, it was one of those feel-good afternoons, palanggas.

Leave it to the Robinsons conglomerate, dahlings, to do everything right. Last week, Robinsons popular supermarket held its highly anticipated Trade Partners Night at the huge ballroom of Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ortigas.
Better known as ?Apple Awards Night,? the bash went all out to recognize and honor ?outstanding performers who go the extra mile to make a difference,? palanggas.

The Gold Apple Award for Food Category went to Nestlé Philippines; Silver to Pepsi Cola Product Phils. Inc.
The Gold Apple Award for Non Food Category was given to Colgate-Palmolive Philippines; Silver to Philusa Corp.
The Gold Apple Award for Fresh Category went to Foodsphere Incorporated, Deli; and Silver to Meatworld International Inc.
The champion of charms was Unilever Philippines. It grabbed the top honor, Platinum Apple, dahlings, in the Home and Personal Care Division ?in recognition of its contribution to the achievement of Robinsons Supermarket?s business objectives.?
Après all those delicious, golden, silver and platinum apples were given, the crowd went wild with the hot performance of Kitty Girls. The event even went hotter by awarding lucky male and female ?Stars of the Night? with P10,000 each worth of Robinsons Supermarket Gift Certificates, plus tons of fabulous giveaways.
Now, palanggas, isn?t this so Robinsons, n?est ce pas? (as in di bala?)
Taste of Spain
There was the Thai festival at the Mandarin Hotel, then the Italian in Rustan?s and now it?s the fantastic Spain Tourism Board that hosted an authentic, superb Spanish cena at the Continental Ballroom of the up-scale, by-members-only Tower Club in Makati, palanggas. Attended by business magnates, travel trade experts and members of la alta sociedad, de cosmo-manille, the Spain in Your Palate gastronomic gala dinner introduced the youthful, cosmopolitan and multifaceted side of Spain to the evening?s chosen invitees.
Heading the hotshots of the Spanish and Spanish-speaking personas was the main man himself, el simpatico Ambassador de España, su excellencia, His Excellency Luis Arias Romero and Tourism Counselor of the Embassy of Spain and Spain Tourism Board director el guapo Enrique Ruiz de Lera. The dinner guests were delighted with the awesome presentation of the beauty and nightlife of the ?new? Spain, palanggas. Some of our town?s finest had a chance to taste Spain?s exquisite cuisine, wines and lifestyle, dahlings.
Salud, amore y Euros, Si! Viva España.
