MANILA, Philippines?Tittot is a phonetic translation of the Chinese term ?Ti To,? meaning transparent and clear. Tittot represents the Chinese belief in the radiance of glass art, reflecting the Chinese Feng Shui tradition.

Genevieve Siao, general manger of Tittot Philippines, explains that, in the past, Chinese glass art was synonymous with the exquisitely crafted and elegant snuff bottles of the Ching Dynasty.
Unfortunately, beginning in the 19th century, this craft disappeared into obscurity for more than 100 years before Heinrich Wang, the creative director of Tittot, revived the art form in 1987 through his studio glass-art movement.

Tittot?s creations are based on a wide range of stories, reflecting historical events, anecdotes on the trials and tribulations of life, childhood memories, lessons learned from the past and tributes to historical events.

A very special feature of a Tittot creation is the inclusion of a short poem penned by Wang himself, describing the story behind the glass creation. Collectors are generally first attracted to this story before purchasing the artwork.

Tittot is available at 4/F, Rustan?s Shangri-La Plaza.
