MANILA, Philippines--A 17-year-old freshman, major in psychology, who called herself “Miduri,” e-mailed questions which could be of interest to readers, young and old.
She was candid—“I’m not a fan of yours, but your writings have been a good help to me.”
She admitted to great interest in science and the occult. She had been reading about paranormal phenomena since high school.
At first, she was interested only in seeking power since she was introduced to it by a friend who was a Wiccan, one who “had the ability to control the climate.”
She said he didn’t want her to go into the study of Wicca because even if she read books, it would just be like “a grain in the sand.”
But she wanted at first to follow in his footsteps, to have power. But people around her thought this to be demonic. She found herself alone, without any teacher or master to help her.
“After reading your book, ‘Exploring the Powers of Your Inner Mind,’” continued Miduri, “I learned it is not about power. What I want now is to be enlightened.”
She said she had been looking for someone who could help her but couldn’t find any because they would ignore her request for help. “Maybe because I’m just ordinary and I don’t belong. I wish you could help me.”
Thank you for being honest about not being a fan of mine. I am glad that my writings, nevertheless, have been of help, and that you are no longer seeking “power” but “to be enlightened.” For a 17-year-old woman, that’s quite an achievement already. That’s real progress in your soul development. Answers
“Are Wiccans and psychic persons the same?” This is like asking whether “shamans” and psychics are the same.
The answer is yes and no. All of us are psychics and, therefore, they are the same in that sense. But Wiccans seek power over nature and also over other people. They have their own beliefs, rituals, practices. Some may be highly developed psychics, like any member of any group or society. The word psychic comes from the Greek word “psyche” which means “mind” or “soul,” so anybody who has mind or soul is a psychic.
“Will there be a destined master for me?” It is said, “When the student is ready, the master will come.” But for me there is no greater master than your own self. Don’t go looking for masters outside of yourself. The greatest master lies within each of us. “I don’t like to attend seminars because I’m not clairvoyant like others. I study by myself, so how can I be enlightened?”
You don’t have to attend seminars to be enlightened. Some of the greatest masters who ever lived never attended seminars nor sat at the feet of so-called masters. Buddha never attended seminars, neither did Socrates or Jesus Christ.
As the Bible says, “Seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.”
Also, Jesus Christ said, “The Kingdom of heaven is within.” That’s why those who look for it outside themselves often get lost.
“Is it a must to open my 3rd Eye, so it will be easy to open the rest of my chakras?"
There’s been a lot of non-sense said about the Third Eye. The Third Eye is not like a door that one can open or close. The Third Eye is really clairvoyance. And one cannot open another’s third eye with mere oracion, ritual or surgery. The third eye is present in all people but they are not aware of this or how to use it. But like other natural skill or ability, such as drawing or singing, some have a more developed Third Eye than others. What you lack is self-confidence. You have a poor or negative image of yourself. Actually I think you are far more advanced than those who may have power but no wisdom. The questions you are asking show you are a sincere seeker of the truth and this in itself is a sign of an advanced soul. Try to read my other books. I have written 15 of them and two new ones are coming up soon. They are available in most branches of National Book Store and Power Books. Note: The next Inner Mind Development seminar will be held Sept. 6 and 7, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rm. 308 Prince Plaza I Cond., 106 Legaspi St., Greenbelt, Makati.
