MANILA, Philippines?Dance icons Terri and Laly Aldeguer?of the swinging legs and head thrusts?are back in town after a 10-year hiatus in the US, where they established The Aldeguer Sisters Performing Arts Center. It drew second- and third- generation Fil-Am children whose parents were students of the famous pair.
An al fresco lunch was given by friends from the Zonta Club of Muntinlupa and Zonta Club of Alabang.
A lechonito deliciously stuffed with aromatic herbs was slowly cooked in a brick oven right there in the garden. A perfect complement was a banca of seafood: lobsters, oysters, crabs, curacha, diwal, clams, broiled fish and shrimps accompanied by a seaweed salad and mangga and bagoong.
Another spread featured ?make your own lumpia? and signature adobo. Desserts were home-made pichi-pichi and calorie-laden chocolate cake.
The entrepreneurial sisters have reinvented themselves and just opened the Asian Center for Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Care at 229 Aguirre St., BF Parañaque (tel. 829-3560 / 0908-2478597), which is staffed by certified cosmetic surgeons and doctors.
?The demand to beautify and upgrade one?s looks is amazing,? Laly says.
?There is also a big market here,? says Terri. ?It gives us much joy to see people happy and gain their self-confidence.?
The clinic offers affordable prices for treatments like wart removal, rhinoplasty, Botox, etc.
