Are nature spirits real?

By Jaime Licauco

MANILA, Philippines—The following questions were sent in by reader Jenny, who said she’s interested in knowing more about metaphysics and other inexplicable things happening in her life.

Since she can’t find any logical explanation for these incidents, she finds them weird. Here are her questions:

“At a young age, I think I saw ‘dwarves’ and a beautiful ‘geisha’ in a rice field. They were waving at me to go to them. As a 7-year-old girl, I didn’t have any idea about dwarves or geishas until I got older. I asked my grandmother what I saw, but she told me to just ignore them. Are they real?”

Many people have seen dwarves or elementals not only here in the Philippines but all over the world. In other countries, they are called by various names such as “brownies,” “leprechauns,” “elves.”

There are many different types and forms of elementals, corresponding to the elements of earth, water, air and fire. Dwarves belong to the element of earth, undines and sirens to the element of water, sylphs and fairies to the element of air, and salamanders to the element of fire. This classification of elementals or nature spirits was first made by the 15th-century Swiss physician and alchemist Paracelsus.

The meaning of moles

“I have a mole in my eye. Do you think that what they say about it is true?”

What do people say about it—that if you have a mole in your eye you can see spirits? I don’t know. Biologically or medically, moles are some sort of pigmentation on the skin, and there are several types of them. But there are people who say moles have meanings.

One expert in mole interpretation is the Chinese-Filipino Feng Shui master Charlie Chao. An interpretation of moles is part of the art of Phrenology, which is not recognized by mainstream science. Nevertheless, there are many things not recognized by mainstream science which are true.

“I have seen my grandparents in my dreams, but they had died many decades ago. I also dreamed of a place I’d never been to before, but later on I went to that place in reality. How is that possible?”

Dead grandparents have a habit of visiting their grandchildren during special occasions, especially if the grandparent died before the grandchild was born. I’ve heard so many stories of such visitations. Don’t worry about this. They are just greeting you, perhaps because they were unable to do so when they were still alive.

Dreams that come true in real life are called “precognitive” or “psychic” dreams. How is a psychic dream possible?

Dreams are a product of our subconscious mind. The subconscious is the repository or storehouse of knowledge, past, present and future. According to Australian aborigines, before an event happens in real waking life, it is first dreamed of. Dreams may be about the past, the present or the future. Our subconscious mind is not bound by time.

Strange power

“I also have some kind of strange power. When somebody hurts me and I get angry, if I so much as think ill of that person, something bad happens to him or her. I know I’m not supposed to hurt someone, but I can’t help it. It just happens.”

From the cases I have personally investigated and handled, this is experienced by people who have an elemental or lower spirit as guide or protector. It is the elemental or the spirit that retaliates or causes harm to people whom you get angry at, or those who try to hurt you.

It is not your own doing. So you have to be careful next time about your negative reactions.

Jinx?

“Some people say I am a jinx because the companies I have worked for all closed shop and people lost their jobs. And now, in the company I am with, my department is also being abolished. Is there some kind of an explanation for this?”

I don’t believe you have anything to do with the company or department being closed or abolished. I would consider it more of a coincidence, although, of course, at a deeper level of meaning, there is no such thing as coincidence.

But what I mean is that your presence did not cause the collapse of the company. It is possible you just made the wrong choice in companies to join. There are many social, economic, managerial and psychological reasons for the collapse of a company. Don’t worry about that, and don’t mind people who think you are a jinx.

Some of the companies I’d worked with no longer exist, either. But I don’t think I was in any way the cause of it.

Regarding your interest in metaphysics, past life and paranormal phenomena, I suggest you read my books or attend my seminars. The books are available at National Book Store and PowerBooks, and my seminars are held every weekend unless I am abroad.

Note: The next Basic ESP and Intuition Development seminar will be held Oct. 18-19, 9 a.m.-
5 p.m., at Rm. 308 Prince Plaza I Cond., 106 Legaspi St., Greenbelt, Makati. Interested parties may call 8107245, 8926806, or fax 8159890. E-mail jaimetlicauco@yahoo.com. I’ll be having a series of seminars in Poland the whole month of November.
