IF you?re over age 25, you?ll probably remember (try not to cringe when you do) a time when you happily hit the streets with at least three different bright colors splashed around your eyes.
Thankfully that look, along with wedge-shaped shoulder pads, too-tight curly perms and Madonna-inspired crucifix necklaces died with the ?80s.
Today?s eye makeup trends are radically different, ranging from a ?nude? look to a ?smoky? effect to a ?clean? style. But while the colors and textures of makeup may change, one thing always remains the same?fabulous eye makeup is key to completing your look.
Here are two looks to try if you want to intensify your eye. Make up Artist Razel ?pong? Niu shows us how.
Smoky eyes
?The classic smoky eye is the inspiration for Phoemela Baranda?s look. In order to achieve the perfect smoky eyes on Phoem, I used three MAC eyeshadow colors: Soba, Tempting and Black Tied.
I also highlighted the brow bone using MAC?s Vanilla shade. I applied MAC?s Engraved Eyeliner and MAC?s Plush Lash Mascara to her eyes.
I used MAC?s Lingering Eyebrow Pencil on her brows and put definition by using MAC?s Girl Boy Brow set.
The subtle tint on her cheeks was possible, using MAC?s Peachy Keen shade.
To complete her look, I used luscious lips courtesy of MAC Dazzle Glass in Date Night shade.
Model and TV host, Baranda knows giving extra attention to your eyes can work wonders to completing a dramatic look. When she wants to intensify this look, she adds her favorite black eye liner: Big Fat Fun by Bed Head.
She takes care of her eye area by using Derma E Eye Bright Dark-circle Crème from Healthy Options. It treats dark circles and undereye puffiness, leaving skin around the eyes bright, healthy and radiant.
Intensif-eyed
?In order to give intensity on Ruru?s eyes, I used three MAC eyeshadow colors namely Soba, Tempting and Twiggy. I also highlighted the brow bone using MAC?s Vanilla shade. I used MAC?s Lingering Eyebrow Pencil on her brows and put definition by using MAC?s Girl Boy Brow set.
The subtle tint on her cheeks was possible using MAC?s Blushbaby shade.
To show emphasis on her eyes, I used MAC?s Hug Me nude color lipstick on her lips as this highlights the eyes more and takes away the attention from the lips. I was inspired to use earth tones that would give soft and yet a dramatic effect.
With these tips, you?re sure to get wide eyed looks. Thankfully, there?s no more need for those frighteningly loud colors to draw the same kind of intensity.
