I?M sure that at one time or another you have felt a strange vibe when walking into a room. You sense ?bad vibrations? or just don?t feel right. I?ve had friends who have experienced being woken up at three or four in the morning in a hotel room by a weird noise or even a strange feeling that someone is watching them.
No, it?s not your imagination, nor is it paranoia. It is all about energy. People, entities, elementals, nature, spirits and even thought forms vibrate at different energy levels. Hotel rooms house a lot of different energy frequencies because so many people go in and out of them. More often than not, the rooms are also hardly aired out and energies tend to stagnate or magnify. Over time, negative fear-based energies such as sadness, anger and grief may accumulate in an enclosed environment. This is true too for homes and businesses.
When we clear a room of negative energy, it is just like cleaning the dirt and dust from the room. Negative energy is simply clutter we cannot see but can definitely feel. It makes us heavy, down, uncomfortable and ill at ease.
Here are some tips on how you can clear the energies in a hotel room the next time you travel.
Aromatherapy is a great way to clear the negative energy in any room, and to replace it with positive energy. I like lavender because it not only purifies the energies in a room, but it also relaxes you. As such, you?ll even sleep better. People usually have problems sleeping soundly in a hotel to begin with, so this is a great way to clear the energy and get relaxed.
You can bring a burner or place a few drops of the essential oil on a candle. I just bring a small tea light candle because it weighs next to nothing, and a small bottle of lavender essential oil. Put three to four drops of the oil on the candle. You can do this rather than take a diffuser which can be heavy and breakable.
You can also bring scented candles but make sure the candles are scented with aromatherapy grade or quality essential oils. Most essential oils are simply fragrance oils which will only make the room smell good. You can also use incense sticks or smudge sticks.
Lay your hands on the hotel bed and pillows and simply say ?This is my bed for the evening, I clear this bed and pillows of previous energies. It is mine for the evening and I will sleep comfortably.?
You don?t have to say it aloud if you don?t want to. I really felt weird doing this the first time but it worked, so I?ve been doing it ever since.
Bring a clear quartz crystal with you. Crystals around your home or office is a very efficient way of bringing good energies into a room. Take a small tumbled stone with you and just keep it by your bedside.
Ask your angels for protection. It works every time. Prayer and meditation purify the air and space instantly.

I make sure the room is physically clean. If not, I ask the housekeeping to thoroughly clean the room. Cleanliness attracts angelic beings, otherwise it is the opposite.
If I feel very uncomfortable about how the room feels, I rearrange the furniture. I do this to create the space that suits the flow of my movements. I inhabit the space so that no one unseen will inhabit it.
I bathe thoroughly to prepare myself for space clearing. Physical cleanliness is always the first step in space clearing.
I light incense or spray rose or lavender water, or heat aroma oil. This is effective in balancing the water and fire elements.
I put crystals by the bedside or a sacred object or icon. This helps in balancing the earth and ether.
If the air is humid or heavy, clapping lightens it up (in the absence of bells or meditation bowls). I sometimes chant or do free movements. Sound and movements balance the air elements.
I do a centering meditation and envision that the room is filled with light. This is a very effective way to shield the space from negative energies.
Riza says that ?I don?t necessarily do everything mentioned above. it depends upon the energy of the room and what I feel.? This is really the best advice, as not all energy spaces are negative.
These techniques will also help clear the energies in your own home or bedroom. This may be helpful when there are problems in the household or an argument just happened in the bedroom.
This is even very useful for children?s rooms, especially if the children have been prone to having nightmares. These are simple techniques yet highly effective. You don?t have to do each step; choose one or two that works for you.
It doesn?t take talent, anyone can do this and it creates a peaceful and tranquil environment that will allow you to rest and sleep better the next time you are out of town.
