Practical gift suggestions

MOST of my friends are done with their Christmas shopping. I wish I were, too, but I?ve just finished buying gifts for the kids and have no clue what to give the adults.

The deal with my close friends is, we just ask each other what we really need. This means products we would normally buy but would also love to get as presents, since that way we won?t have to shell out money. Being practical about things these days is something you shouldn?t be ashamed of.

Here are some new products that would make for very practical, pocket-friendly gifts. If they don?t seem like good presents for your friends, then buy them for yourself for personal pampering this season.

When it comes to makeup, you may want to consider e.l.f. cosmetics. I just love the philosophy of this brand: ?Beauty comes from feeling and being your best, an inner confidence that translates to the outer world as attractiveness.? It also believes that every woman should be able to afford herself certain tools to enhance her beauty, such affordable makeup. Some products begin at P50!

You can fill a kikay kit full of e.l.f. products and then give it to your mom, sister or best friend. Or, you can put it on your Christmas list without making your friends feel they?re being robbed.

Those who?ve switched to mineral makeup would be glad to know e.l.f. has some, too. My end goal when it comes to cosmetics is using all mineral-based products?those which are made of 100-percent natural minerals and contain no chemical additives, parabens and dyes. This type of makeup won?t clog your pores and goes on very light on skin.

Hair color

A box of hair color would prove very useful to the right person. If you have a close aunt who has white hair, why not give her a box of Phytocolor?

It?s the leading specialist in botanical scalp and hair care, and now it offers hair color that uses a high concentrate of natural botanical extracts in its formula.

The ingredient P-phenylenediamine, found in most hair colors and to which many people are allergic to, is not present in Phytocolor. And since the brand has five shades, you may want to get one for yourself, too, and use it as a base for the highlights you get at the salon.

Hair care

I received a box of Pantene?s three-minute miracle treatment recently and I was delighted at the results. It worked well on my hair and made my bath more luxurious. I?ve heard this third-step treatment is most effective after using Pantene shampoo and conditioner.

I?ll be grabbing some soon to find out how my hair should really feel given the deluxe treatment.

Yes, being practical by giving practical gifts this Christmas is the way to go!

What gift would you want to receive?
