PHILIPPINE Airlines jetted in to Cebu with tons of rewards, palanggas, to celebrate Mabuhay Miles MasterCard’s international recognition. Held at the elegant Casa Español, the grand presentation was headed by Allied Bank’s first vice president and card center head, Fol C. Rana Jr. and Philippine Airlines’ assistant vice president for product loyalty marketing, eye-catching Barbara Aragon. The event’s host was hard to beat Richard Poon, who belted out for the megapower bunch a repertoire of great songs.
“Early this October, it won an APMEA Award for Best Premium Co-Brand Program, beating all the players of the category in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa. But Mabuhay Miles MasterCard refuses to rest on its laurels. It continues to build its rapport with markets A to C, giving its World and Platinum products with more attractive incentives,” said cyber-smart Aragon, to the applause of the invitees, palanggas.
Now, the card has even lowered its point-to-mile conversion from P38 to P35, making it faster to get free flights aboard Philippine Airlines. Natch.
Check it out, dahlings. This fantastic reward ends Dec. 31.
Dolly Anne’s birthday bash
The super-fun birthday bash of Inquirer’s top-of-the-line entertainment columnist, my palangga, witty, multilingual, Dolly Anne Carvajal was recently held at Tropezz Restaurant and Bar in Greenbelt 3, dahlings.
I was out of town at the time, but I was told that the excellently-prepared dinner was by Tropezz owners, captivating and talented Jiji Fernandez and Isa Pascual.
Like most high-energy happenings, the highlight was the singing of Gabby Concepcion, Ogie Alcasid and Diether Ocampo. Gabby sang cuts from his album, which he dedicated to Dolly Anne.
Seen having a great time were our celebrator’s close pals, like movie queen Amalia Fuentes; Inquirer’s unmatchable Letty J. Magsanoc; Ms Universe Gloria Diaz; Mat Ranillo III; TV host-actor Cesar Montano; Marvin Agustin; Rufa Mae Quinto; PR man Shane Ayo Gunting; IC Mendoza; best of pals Nadia Montenegro and Lotlot de Leon, who all stayed on ’til past Cinderella’s bed time, dahlings.
Cheers to my palangga, our favorite Princess for a Day, Dolly Anne.
Glitzy launch
As I entered the place where the week’s biggest event was taking place, I couldn’t help but comment, “Wow! This is awesome.” I was completely overwhelmed by the sights and sounds of dancing lights, air dancers, fire, ballroom belly dancers, drumbeaters and gorgeous Club Mwah show girls at the newest lifestyle hub in Makati. A. Venue is a spacious events mall at the Antel Lifestyle City, along Makati Avenue. Studio Technik provided the video coverage and the able support of Asia United Bank, palanggas. Welcoming the A-listers were Antel Group of Companies, hotshot president Elena Jao, marketing director and developer Felino Lao and project director Nancy Coo. There was also a fashion parade of Oliver Tolentino’s holiday collection and a hot-hot dance number by the Hotlegs, natch. Wine was provided by Amoroso Brandy and the incredible buffet spread was catered by Contempo.
Antel Lifestyle City is a 1.7-ha. city that combines A. Venue, and its Hall, the A. Venue Residences and the A. Venue Hotel Suites. With A. Venue as its core, super smart Coo had this to say: “The three-story mall is now fully integrated with rows of dining pleasures, upscale bars with different entertainment, and themed lifestyle services that are open from sunset to sunrise.”
