Without Batting An Eyelash
Heiress marks birthday

BEING the foodie that she is, it was no surprise when this workaholic heiress blew out another great year from her already très exciting life, dahlings. Held at her parents? grand mansion in a posh village, vivacious Renna Hechanova Angeles celebrated her birthday with friends like Conchita Toda, Al and Carla Tengco, brilliant Atty. Katrina Legarda, Karen Santos, Tatler?s Irene M. Francisco and Anton San Diego, Mari Lagdameo, Menchu Soriano, Veana Fores, Wito Quimson, Bettina Osmeña, Arsenio Locsin, Bobby Cuenca, Mayenne Carmona, Mikey and Lizette Cojuangco, dahlings.

Après champagne and finger food were served, we sat down for the best dinner menu of that week (as far as I?m concerned), excellently catered by Margarita Fores? Cibo.

It started off with fresh Taglierini with fried organic egg and onion cream, with Black Truffle paste. Next, was the smooth butter-fried Cod with Truffle Oil. The smell of truffles in any form is heaven. Then there was Roast Beef Tenderloin Tagliata with garlic rosemary and caperberries, followed by the must-have Virginia ham, superbly Roasted Turkey with Focaccia, goose liver pâté, dried mango and golden sultana stuffing, with Insalata di Cesare. And finally, loads of sinful calorific desserts, dahlings.

By the end of this fun get-together of pals, there was one question everyone had in mind: ?When do we have your next dinner?? And being the fantastic hostess that she is, like her mom Mely Concepcion Hechanova, she answered with a smile: ?Soon!?

Cheers, palangga!

Feast for the senses

The word ?Notorious? alone made me dash over to the chic and stylish Jaguar Lifestyle Center, dahlings, after coming from my favorite hairdresser Svenson, naturellement, for this happening of RCBC Bankard for its Platinum MasterCard cardholders. As I expected, it turned out to be super exciting, palanggas.

Ralph Lauren?s new feminine fragrance ?Notorious? had notorious gals going around for guests to sample its oh-so-sexy scent. Definitely an addictive fragrance!

We also got to see the elegant Jaguar XF, redefining what this luxury sporting saloon is all about. Jaguar?s new eye-catching fast car is a standout with its craftsmanship and sophisticated instrumentation.

Naturellement, hotshots from MasterCard and Jaguar Cars Inc. welcomed the cardholders, dahlings.

An RCBC Bankard Platinum MasterCard cardholder is always granted access to the most exciting happening plus exclusive perks and benefits.

At the end, palanggas, guests went home with bottles of Ralph Lauren?s sexy new scent. Notorious gorgeous gals not included. Too bad, guys.

Bel-Air?s Pasinaya

Bel-Air Village, palanggas, recently organized the 2008 Pasinaya, an awesome three-day festival for the community?s parents, children and household help.

The first day featured a food festival and bazaar, dahlings.

In ?Gabi ng Kasambahay,? a grand bash was held where all the household help rocked and let their hair down while having fun, palanggas.

In ?Paraiso sa Bel-Air,? kids, moms, dads and grandparents performed dance numbers in colorful costumes to the evening?s theme of ?Paraiso.? Natch!

?Bel-Air residents know they have a good thing in the Pasinaya, something other communities do not enjoy, making residents proud to be in Bel-Air,? Antonio Guerrero said to an applauding, happy and appreciative audience, dahlings.
