Inner Awareness
Mother and son see spirits in the house

?MY 24-year-old has been telling me eerie happenings, especially when he is alone in his room or on the third floor of our house in north of Manila.

?One time he was awakened by a sound of wind blowing at early dawn. He turned on the TV and the strange sound disappeared. At 4:30 a.m. when he was about to go to sleep, the TV set turned off by itself.

?Also, in the past, he woke up with the feeling that someone was sitting on his bed. He was afraid to open his eyes and just prayed until he fell asleep. One time, he told me he saw a white lady going down the stairs.

?In the old house where we lived in (also in the same city), he would see many strange things, one of which was a monster-like figure sitting on the toilet bowl. He was only 15 years old at that time.

?In that same house, I also experienced seeing a chubby small boy peeping at me through my open door while I was folding my clothes one evening. In my office at noon time, I also saw a spirit walk past me, but looking exactly like my staff. It was floating on air.

?Only my son and I have had these experiences in our family. Being 58 years of age, I can understand these things. But I can?t explain them to my son. He thinks it?s unfair for these spirits to frighten him when he has not harmed anybody and has been a good person.

?How can I tell him to accept these mysterious things? My worry is, he even asks why God allows them to scare people like him who prays hard during those moments when he has no one to run to except God. He always has his rosary with him at his bedside.?

The reason your son and you can see or sense spirits and other normally unseen creatures is that you two are sensitive to these energies or forces without your knowing it.

You are both clairvoyant, your third eye is open.

You are channels or mediums of the spirit world without being aware of this ability. They see a certain light in your aura that is different from ordinary people.

They usually do not intentionally frighten or scare people. Most of the time, the spirits seen by the living are ?earthbound? spirits of the newly departed whose consciousness is still focused on the earth plane and the people they had left behind. They either have an unfinished business with them or don?t even know they are already dead.

These restless or earthbound spirits will never rest in peace until their unfinished business has been completed or their wish fulfilled.

I suggest that you and your son read some authoritative or reliable books about the spirit world so you can both understand the nature of these other dimensional creatures and what you can do to deal with the situation. Some of my earlier books may be of help to you and your son, like ?True Encounters with the Unknown,? and its sequel, ?More Encounters with the Unknown.?

If you want to have a more thorough and in-depth discussion about the spirit world, I suggest you read the two outstanding books by the French researcher, Allan Kardec, who wrote ?The Spirits Book? and the ?Book of Mediums.?

The reason we fear spirits is because we know almost nothing about them. It is really lack of knowledge or ignorance that provokes fear. Once we understand the nature of the spirit world and how to deal with its inhabitants, we will no longer be afraid of them.

Prayers sometimes help in expelling negative spirits from a house, but not all the time. It is the strength of a person?s will, his purity of soul and intention, and his moral ascendancy that matter more.

I have been to a haunted house which was previously blessed by three Catholic priests on separate occasions. The prayers and blessings did not expel the negative entities. In fact, there were even more who came to haunt the residents than before.

I brought in a clairvoyant exorcist who could see the spirits. He talked to them and some voluntarily went away. Others had to be driven away forcibly since they refused to leave.

I suggest that you hire a good and reliable exorcist who is also a clairvoyant to do the job of getting rid of unpleasant entities in your house. And you should do this as soon as you can, before something more serious happens to you or to your son.

The way I see it, these spirits inhabiting or visiting your place are not yet the violent type. But if you don?t act fast, they may become stronger and drive you out of your house instead.
