Inside Out
Korean ginseng eases fatigue, anxiety

BEFORE taking natural supplements, it is wise to see or consult a physician. Here are examples of such alternative cures.

Water. If you are drinking less than six to eight glasses a day, then you are shrinking your brain, dehydrating your skin, speeding up the aging process and damaging your immune system.

Sugar is the main enemy of youthful looks. So when you are hungry, have a 1/3 glass of Kefir (the 2,000-year-old cousin of yoghurt from the Caucaus mountains). The presence of billions of live micro-organisms will help to balance your hormone profile and improve your mental state.

Charge up with herbs. Yohimbine, from the West African tree, is said to boost sex drive. It can be found in any health food store. It helps increase blood flow to the brain with fewer side effects.

Korean Red Ginseng is the herb of choice for anxiety, fatigue and over-performance. Traditionally used as an aphrodisiac in China, this promising herb should be taken once a day for health maintenance. (Example: One extract measures the size of your small pinky nail.) Filled with saponins, Korean Ginseng has been considered a miracle food supplement which can address hepa A and B, liver problems and cancer. Mix a tiny spoonful in warm water. Drink up the extract one hour before sleeping. Note: Since Vitamin C kills ginseng, do not consume within three hours of each other. Purchase the authentic Korean Red Ginseng. Ginkgo is a medicinal plant which suppresses inflammation. Dubbed the miracle brain food, ginkgo helps improve concentration and memory and fight depression. Consumed daily after a meal, this herb helps boost one’s energy level.

Apart from the daily multivitamin/mineral supplement, the mineral zinc is especially recommended for men’s health. This trace mineral is responsible for enhancing the production of male hormone testosterone needed to ensure male vitality and potency of sperm production (a key factor in fertility).

Around 15-30 mg of zinc daily is essential to men’s overall healthy energy level. Women who take zinc should consider combining this with calcium and magnesium, excellent for bone health and stable mental mood levels.

A 30-minute aerobic exercise is enough to shake up your brain and improve memory. This is due to the increase in oxygen efficiency in the brain. This is enough to prevent stroke and heart disease.

If you don’t want a heart-pounding routine, do brisk/power walking daily. While you’re at it, combine with a meditative walk.

Drink two glasses of water for every 30 minutes of workout.

Inner cleansing

For most illnesses, grandparents often prescribe enema. What’s worse is drinking one tablespoon of cod liver oil. In the past, it was simply a 3-liter pail of warm water introduced to the colon to flush out the toxins. Today, it’s organic coffee recommended by health enthusiasts. Dr. Omar Arabia, a disciple of Dr. Max Gerson (famous for his anti-cancer treatment) suggests a weekly session to remove all stuck-up debris. Because coffee enema regenerates the liver, it also increases the production of glutathione by half.

Mashed Apple Surprise

Get half an apple. Mash it. Rub contents on your face. Feel the tingling and natural softening of your skin. Rinse.

Affirm: “I welcome an avalanche of blessings today.”

Love and light!
