MANILA, Philippines ? World-class beauty doctor Vicki Belo hosted a truly grand bash when she launched her clinic in the Queen City of the South.
Vicki, looking sooo divinely gorgeous in her white flowing dress, was a sight to behold as she led the opening of the Belo Medical Group clinic at The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu.
The gods of beauty engaged the warm summer sun as the flower-decked terrace had Cebu?s high and mighty giving their ?oohs? and ?aahs? of approval and amazement. It was the first time the Ayala terrace garden had been magically transformed into a floral field.
The series of events started with the press conference organized by PR maven Leah Salterio, followed by the blessing led by Monsignor Achilles Dakay, and finally the grand summer garden happening in the evening.
Brilliant corporate imaging and branding specialist Joji Dingcong, natch, produced and conceptualized the event, alongside Cristalle Henares Belo, who handles the Belo Essentials brand and is marketing head of Belo Medical Group.
The walkway from Marriott Hotel and the parking lot to the clinic had huge floral-decked lamps and pillars. There was a dreamlike glass tent in the buffet area, done and executed by the Pink Flora team, headed by Pinky Chang. Talented landscape artist Jaime Chua transformed the stage into an enchanting floralscape!
As we walked toward the venue, we encountered eye-catching models, all from Chickoy Tomol III of MAC agency; they were adorned with flowers and dressed in summer?s brightest colors.
There was a free-flowing champagne bar, with the bubbly Moet et Chandon flown in from Manille, a must in all of Joji-led events as always?di bala?
The topnotch entertainers were led by Cebu?s Peace Philharmonic Orchestra and handsome balladeer Christian Bautista.
Christopher de Leon had the young and young-at-heart applauding and cheering after each number. At one point, he asked head-turner Alice Woolbright, his ex, to come up on stage with him. But she was too shy to accept the invitation. (After the show, they went to the bar of the popular Waterfront Hotel.) The sexy, wacky Janno Gibbs had us roaring with laughter, while Donita Rose was an excellent emcee. Director was Garlic Garcia.
Lupon Anduyo, a Cebuano group, drummed rhythmic rhythms, while French-Moroccan performer Moise kept the invitees entertained during the aprés-party with his Latin and bossa nova sounds. Truly a beautiful, magical night!
The event was organized by Graphic FX Advertising and Design, managed superbly by Anna Conejero.
Cebu socialite Teresin Mendezona planned the floral setup and the night?s menu, which was excellently done by Raki Urbina and catered by Laguna Garden Café of Lita Urbina and Jill Urbina. Kenneth Cobonpue remarked: ?This event is simply beautiful!?
Vicki came to Cebu with her associates, Dr. Philip Buñag and Dr. Maricar Cruz, who socialized with the Cebu clinic?s Dr. Dimple Mangondaya and Dr. Arvee Uy.
We caught up with Governor Gwen Garcia?s pretty daughter, lawyer Cristina Garcia Codilla, and her fiancé, good-looking Mayor Vicente Franco Duque. They would be saying their ?I dos? soon, palanggas.
From Manille were businessman Atom Henares, Laly Etroit, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Pepper Teehankee, Anton San Diego and Jaqueline Thng. Beautiful Claudine Barretto, celebrity endorser of Belo Essentials, was also there.
To signify a new beginning for the Belo Medical Group, butterflies from the Jumalon Butterfly Farm were released to the evening sky. The sight was amazing. The ceremony was led by Doctor Belo and Cristalle, along with parent-child tandems from Cebu?s elite, such as Kenneth Cobonpue and son Andre; Mary Ann Aboitiz-Arculli and daughter Jasmine; Elvira Luym and Kaye; Mark Cancio and Matthew; Honey Loop and Edward; and Eleanor Hayco and Edelaine.
The launching of Belo?s Cebu clinic was definitely an awesome success, palanggas. Without a doubt, it was a world-class event, the way Belo has always been defined.
Bravo!
