MANILA, Philippines ? From producing your hardware and construction supplies to getting decor and after-service, building a home is now made even more convenient with MC Home Depot?s some 110 specialty stores. The ultimate home supply store, a sprawling three-hectare treasure cove for home builders and homeowners, has also been offering midrange to high-end furniture, lighting and wood fixtures.

?We want to give our clients a wide range of choices when they come here. Whether they?re on a budget or not, we want them to know our choice specialized store can offer them quality craftsmanship and materials,? said Malou Malabana, marketing officer, MC Home Depot Inc., The Fort, Taguig.

Muebles de Paris, for instance, offers elegant, high-end European-inspired home furniture. Its line of products, suited for a grand, roomy home brings in that austere old world charm for a proper formal home setup.

If Filipino originality is your thing, homegrown products in whimsical designs are available at Muebles de Lizamyr. There?s a coconut shell mirror, a mirror in mahogany strip of sunburst design and a stairway mahogany lamp. Quirky and creative, the home is never a boring place with these accessories around.

Interesting export-quality Filipino products are also to be had at Robles Heritage. Exporting to Europe, the US and other Asian countries, the store houses the intricately designed lotus hanging lamp made of capiz shells. Stained glass angel candle holders in a myriad of colors is also another popular piece.

Contemporary pieces can be found at the Loft Details, which imports modern-design furniture, with clean, seamless lines, from Malaysia and Singapore.

At Aristocrat and Vens Light, lamps in all sizes and forms, and in various types of power consumption, including energy-saver LCD lights, are available. Mini chandeliers suit the space constrictions of condominiums; grand chandeliers in crystals for sprawling mansions can also be ordered.

Beautiful on the outside but tough on the inside are Pateco?s line of door solutions. Low-maintenance molded doors are guaranteed humidity-resistant. No warping, splitting, cracking or shrinking, with one year limited warranty. Also available are glass doors.

Home Depot also has termite-proof wood with Armourwood framing and moldings. Stair components, flooring and paneling, decking, door jambs and more come in various designs. Primecoat Wood, from Matimco, has specially developed products ready and primed for painting?they?re made of real wood.

The anti-termite wood from Matwood takes pride in the natural beauty of hardwood. Premium products undergo double-vacuum treatment, protecting wood not only from termites but wood borers and fungal decay by using industry-standard Solignum in wood preservation. Because it comes from a fully computer-operated factory, the wood treatment is precise and deeper compared to the traditional brushing.

MC Home Depot is also home to Euro Elegance, Italian Prestige Collection, Costa del Sur, Creative Pilipinas Concept & Design, Highlight Decomaster/Lifestyle Lightings & Home Accessories, Muebles Italiano, Ital Design, Mixed Ideas and Signature; wood products from Green Peak Wood Products/DTS Lumber, Delta Wood Products, My Timber Home/Timber One, Woodworth Enterprises, Apexwood and Gladwin Wood; and lighting fixtures from Light Option, Mettalite Illunimazione, Armaflex, Light @ Play/In Style Lightings, I-Asia and Bells Lightings.

A spacious, 8,000-square meter elevated parking space is located at the rooftop. Open daily and on most holidays, MC Home Depot is also located at 168 Ortigas Avenue corner Meralco Avenue, Pasig City.
