TRUST Teyet Pascual to transform a fundraising auction by Friends of the CCP into an afternoon of artful enjoyment.
All the personas and matronas were coifed and bejeweled for the 3 p.m. Le Soufflé affair recently, each one trying to outdo the other in colorful couture, big precious blings, and, of course, bidding for art to raise over a million pesos for charity.
The rare artworks were from the collection of Agri Chemicals and the donation came with the stipulation that the proceeds of the bidding should go to the scholarship program of Friends of CCP.
Minerva Tanseco and fashion designer Boysie Villaviciencio, who formed the organizing committee, welcomed the guests led by the still-beautiful Imelda Marcos, who arrived promptly in a rare Ramon Valera terno.
Done with our tour of the paintings, we found the merry widows and golden girls huddled downstairs ready for their portrait to be taken beside their favorite painting. Each waited dutifully for one?s turn. They did friendly banter with photographer Mike Rieta and did very fine primping for a fabulous pictorial.
Take a look at these senior citizens of style and golden girls of taste. Pictures do not lie. Enjoy the gallery of elegant looks.
