Inside Out
Deep-fried foods lower body energy

THE HUMAN body has the capacity to repair, regenerate, revive itself. But in order to do this, you need to:

1. Understand how your body functions.
2. Design a lifestyle that supports good health?body, mind and spirit.

Blissful food

Each food has an effect on the way the body moves, the mind thinks and yes, even the way the heart feels.

Sentient food is good for the body, normally alkaline, semi-alkaline, semi-acid forming.
Mutative food may not be bad but could have a stimulating effect on the system like garlic, chili, etc.

Static is extremely acid forming food which lowers the energy level of the body. Examples are deep-fried food, fish, meats, poultry, eggs.

The nature of the food we eat and the liquids we drink has a direct effect on the cells. Thus, the more sentient and mutative our eating lifestyle is, the healthier the cells, the more alert the mind.

Studies have shown that close to 90-percent of all diseases are stress-related. But most people think stress is limited to something mental or emotional. Well, how about the cells, don?t they get stressed every time you feast on oily, fatty food?

Add more of these high-caloric food to your menu: coconuts, lemon, calamansi, herbal teas, leafy vegetables, fruits, yoghurt, super probiotic kefir (cousin of yoghurt), broccoli, cauliflower, eggplant, jackfruit, nuts, raw sugar (coco sugar is best), whole-grain breads, legumes (beans, lentils), tofu, corn, bailey, oats millet (the most alkaline of grains).

Happiness

?Happiness isn?t a place you find, it?s a state of mind.? But there are places in this country that provide a welcome respite from the stressful city life.

Just 45 minutes via SEAIR is idyllic Boracay. If you need a piece of paradise, lounge under a grove of coconut trees by the silky powder white beach of Discovery Shores. Pleasant beauty and wellness treats await you.

Follow these with a sumptuous lunch buffet. If you prefer a strictly vegetarian meal, the chef will personally attend to your diet preferences. Take a dip in the pool that will sprinkle you with soap bubbles.

Raise your body?s energy levels at Mandala Spa. Hilot, a unique Filipino massage which won the Spa Asia Crystal Award, uses coconut extracts and organic rice to polish your body. Hehilaan and Bentosa, ancient Filipino remedies, will clear your body of aches and pains.

Affirmation: ?I am at peace.?

Love and light!
