FOR the last 33 years, the support of Milo for the Filipinos? passion for running and healthy lifestyle has been stronger than ever, dahlings.

The second phase of the country?s longest and most prestigious running event will start, take note, palanggas, July 5 when it holds simultaneous races in Manila and Cebu.

Other races will be staged July 12 in Davao and Tarlac; July 19 in Butuan and Santiago; July 26 in Cagayan de Oro and Laoag; Aug. 2 in Tacloban and San Fernando; Aug. 9 in Tagbilaran and Baguio; Aug. 16 in Roxas and Dagupan; Aug. 23 in Iloilo and Legazpi; Aug. 30 in Bacolod and Naga; and Sept. 6 in Dumaguete and San Pablo. Earlier this year, Milo already staged simultaneous races in different parts of the country, palanggas.

Expressing their support for the National Milo Marathon were Philippine Sports Commission?s sports, games and recreation officer 2 Abby Rivera, and Nestlé and Milo?s hotshot executives.

Throughout the years, palanggas, the popular National Milo Marathon has produced tons of champions who brought honor to the country, at the same time promoting the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle.

First held on May 26, 1974, palanggas, with only 767 runners taking part, this awesome event has enjoyed so much success, attracting loads of participants. Last year?s phenomenal event featured more than 200,000 awesome runners with a turnout expected to be bigger this year, palanggas.

No wonder I?ve seen an unbelievable amount of runners practicing around the villages of Forbes Park and Dasmariñas in the last couple of months.

Winning is a great thing but with Milo, health is definitely wealth, di bala, palanggas?

The 33rd National Milo Marathon is supported by Bayview Park Hotel Manila.

Grey Goose golf tournament

The ?It? booze which has become the latest choice of vodka lovers is Grey Goose, dahlings. Recently, it held its first invitational golf tournament at the chi-chi Sta. Elena Golf Club. As expected, the list of players consisted of our town?s who?s who?from business leaders, celebrities to society namedroppables.

The golf enthusiasts included Tonyboy Floirendo, Chito Melo, Charles and Anton Palanca, Rep. Martin Romualdez, businessmen Bob Sobrepeña and Conkoy Tuazon; Argentine Ambassador Mario Schuff, James Duvivier, Gelo Singson plus other die-hard golfers, palanggas.

This by-invitation-only tournament was followed by a sensational bash and awarding ceremony at the posh Nuvo in Greenbelt. Grey Goose flowed like there was no tomorrow, especially the Grey Goose Bloody Mary Oyster which was definitely the favorite during that evening.

The champs were businessman Richie Garcia for low gross score; Class A division went to McDonald?s heir Greg Yang; Class B went to el simpático Phil Adamson; and Class C division to Embassy/Members Only?s young mover and shaker GP Reyes; and the queen champion was Marjorie Lopingco.

The main man of the hour was the gentleman behind the event, Rajiv Ghumman, who said, ?Grey Goose is bringing this group of special people together for this tournament and we look forward to an even better one in 2010.?

No wonder a lot of those golfers wobbled to their posh cars after the fun bash, dahlings.

Wine event at Spicy Fingers

The popular hot hangout, Spicy Fingers Bar and Restaurant at the ground floor of Greenbelt 2, hosted the first World of Wine series. It was participated in by Barcino, Fly Ace Corporation, Future Trade International, and Premier Wines and Spirits.

Wine executives from Australia, Europe and South Africa plus media partners, dahlings, attended the event, whose P500 cover charge entitled us to a ?Swig-All-You-Can? from 6 to 10 p.m.

Bottles from distributors were raffled off and the lucky winners were ADB?s Antonio Ressano Garcia, Raffles Residences? Paul Carpio, Embassy of Romania?s Vlad Stefan and Jonathan Sy. This event was also graced by lovely guests such as Stephanie Delfour-Zubiri, Prince of Jaipur?s Max Talreja, Department of Foreign Affairs? Raymund Toledo, and Murray and D?Vine?s Murray Hertz.

World of Wine will happen exclusively at Spicy Fingers, according to event organizer and marketing consultant, the vivaciously adorable Edda Joyce Garcia.
