7 years of bliss
There is that saying about the seven-year-itch. Well, dahlings, not for Carlos and Billie Reyes, who braved their seventh year of happiness with a simple, elegant celebration, officiated by Fr. Dacanay, SJ.
Guests enjoyed loads of booze and a lavish dinner spread by Barbara’s, including a yummy cake by Baba Ibazeta Benedicto, at the fabulous penthouse at Gercon Plaza in Makati of multifaceted business magnate and interior designer par excellence, Gerry Contreras. Event planner Leah Sanchez and her close pals Donnie and Anna Puno, Jae and Marga Ramos made sure that everything was perfect. It surely was, palanggas.
But not to be outdone, multi-talented designer and super friend, Rajo Laurel, gave a chic black-and-white cocktail outfit for Billie’s change after the ceremonies, dahlings. Upsilonian brothers came in full force to toast the couple.
For the grand finale of this fun-fun happening, the bride’s parents, popular couple Bob and Betsy Tenchavez, surprised them with a blast of colorful fireworks that lit the penthouse and was seen all around Makati.
The twosome met in San Francisco where Billie finished college. But it was in Manila that their romance blossomed and culminated in marriage seven years ago.
Carlos is the admission marketing head of the family-owned Central Colleges of the Philippines, and is graduating this year with an MBA at Ateneo Rockwell. Billie is the VP-finance director and general manager of Design Science Inc., is super active as a Povedan parent, and efficiently takes charge of the school’s annual Family Day.
Cheers to seven times seven more years of love and happiness, palanggas.
