Lotus Pond - Bismark
A tale of two dogs

THIS is a true story: Once, there were two dogs that lived in a compound. One, a boxer, was named Spencer, and the other was Dama, a German shepherd. Spencer was a bully who would chase and fight with other dogs in the neighborhood. An enraged neighbor once threatened to shoot him if he attacked his dog again.

Spencer also fought with gentle Dama. One time, when a child embraced Dama in Spencer?s presence, the latter got envious and enraged. He immediately pounced on Dama and caretakers had to pull Spencer away.

Spencer was eventually sent off to a farm where there were no other dogs for him to harass. Sometime ago, Dama passed away. While he was dying, a friend told him, ?It?s alright, let go. Thank you for guarding our home.? He then left peacefully. After learning about his passing, a neighbor mused, ?Dama was the best dog I ever knew.?

Meek creature

People felt sorry for Dama. Someone even said, ?I wish people would think of me as favorably when it?s my turn to leave.? The meek creature was loved, despite not winning a single fight with Spencer. He touched people?s hearts, because he humbly and selflessly served his masters.
