Her youngest grandson Baby James Yap was momentarily breaking the silence along the corridor, giddily running back and forth.

Joshua, Kris Aquino?s eldest son with Philip Salvador who arrived around that time, was told by someone accompanying him, ?O, you go now to your Lola.?

Apart from two security guards at the corridor?s both ends, two men were closely guarding her room. At least five uniformed policemen were seen positioned in front of the hospital.

Reporters outside the hospital chanced upon Eldon Cruz, Aquino? son-in-law, who said Aquino was ?okay and though she?s under pain management.? He said Kris was taking care of her mother for 24 hours.

?Let?s all pray that (Aquino) will endure all the pains and sufferings,? Cruz said adding, ?I?m lost for words.?

He said the family will release a statement on Aquino?s condition "very soon."

On Saturday, Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay, who has been the chief executive of Makati since Aquino?s term -- except for a brief spell when his wife took over -- saw the former president for the first time since she was admitted to the Makati Medical Center for loss of appetite last month.

Aquino was asleep during his entire stay at her private room on the ninth floor, he said.

Binay, said that for the past few weeks he had thought that the Aquino family was not allowing visitors. ?Nagbakasakali lang ako ngayon (I took my chance now),? he said

Seeing Aquino from a distance, Binay said, ?Everything looks fine and normal.?
