Senior citizen and iconic fashion designer Ben Farrales has stepped up for the victims of tropical storm ?Ondoy.? Farrales is spearheading the revival of his ?Fashion for a Cause,? a fundraising event, on Saturday, October 28, 6 p.m. at the Manila Hotel. Together with 100 fashion designers, Farrales will stage a benefit fashion extravaganza showing holiday wear.
Proceeds will go to chairman Rosa Rosal of the Philippine Red Cross Special Division. Famous stars and top Manila models will offer their services to make this prestigious event a success.
The last time Farrales organized ?Fashion for a Cause? was 10 years ago, for the Mt. Pinatubo disaster victims. Throughout his life, Farrales has staged 10 such fundraising shows.
Fashion show directors led by Ogee Atos will choreograph the event. A-List beauty and makeup wizards led by Fanny Serrano will offer their services for the evening. Tickets are available at Farrales? shop on M. Adriatico in Malate (tel. 525-3421).
