THE DEVASTATION wrought by super-deadly tropical storm ?Ondoy? last week over a large portion of Metro Manila and Luzon, killing hundreds of our unsuspecting population, has dramatically and literally brought home to grim reality the effects of global warming and our government?s ineptness in handling major disasters.

Global warming is only one of the causes of major calamities that will befall our beleaguered planet Earth on or before 2012.

Such calamities have been consistently and repeatedly predicted centuries ago by the apostle, John, in his Revelations (or Apocalypse), by Nostradamus in his prophetic ?Centuries,? by the ancient Mayas in their extraordinary calendar, and more recently by the American psychic Edgar Cayce in his trance ?readings,? by journalist and medium, Ruth Montgomery in the messages of her guides, and by Dr. James J. Hurtak of the Academy for Future Science in his ?Book of Knowledge: The Keys of Enoch.? But hardly any government official anywhere in the world has paid attention to these warnings.

What is more ominous and yet mostly ignored is the inevitable coming shift in the axis of planet Earth which will bring about vast changes on the surface of the planet.
According to Montgomery?s spirit guides, ?We see here that it [the shift in axis] is inescapable for those on Earth.? But they could not tell the exact date when this will happen, ?because that is in God?s hands.?

However, the Guides also said they have foreseen an American president who is a Walk-in that will be elected before the shift happens. He has not yet surfaced, according to them and therefore the shift is likely to be delayed. This wise and visionary US president, according to them, would ?prepare jobs and housing in safe areas? in the US but will also have vast implications for other countries as well.

Montgomery?s Guides define a Walk-in as ?high minded entities from the spirit plane who are permitted under certain circumstances to take over the unwanted bodies of other human beings, who then depart into spirit? By skipping babyhood and childhood, they can therefore get immediately to work on their new tasks.?

The guides have firmly refused to identify the Walk-in President saying that ?the present occupant of that body is not yet fully aware of his destiny, although he has been through a traumatic experience that will awaken him to that awareness.?

Worsening weather

Writing in 1999 in the book entitled, ?The World to Come,? Ruth Montgomery?s Guides referred to the worsening weather conditions throughout the globe.

?People will be scurrying for cover as storms increase in velocity and as famine in various parts of the underdeveloped world worsens. America will be unable to fulfill the needs because of its own economic conditions.?

This sounds very much like what we have been reading in today?s headlines, doesn?t it?

?The troubling times will make the office of the American president far less attractive to the able men and women who might otherwise be seeking it, and the Walk-in we have told you about will step forward. ?

Given such a grim and inevitable future scenario, what can people of planet Earth do? To be honest about it, nothing much. The Guides said the shift and its devastating effects is inevitable. And since there is nothing we can do, they said, ?Therefore it should not be feared, for life goes on, and it is an attitude of the soul that matters most, before, during and after the transition into spirit. Those who survive in body will find the knowledge deep within them and how to cope with the unleashed forces of nature.?

?The Mayan priests,? according to Gerald Benedict in his book ?The Mayan Prophecies of 2012,? ?speak of our need to recognize the spiritual energy focused in the sacred sites of all religions? of the world.

The prophecies call for a return to our natural environment and recognize its sacredness.
