Movement 8 and Ayala Land Premier's One Serendra

THE PARTICIPATION of artists, industrial designers, architects and urban planners in the world we now live in, cannot be emphasized enough. Individuals, influencers, and companies must look at new ways to engage, interact, collaborate, and use its resources to bring about social change.

Movement 8's 10th anniversary exhibit at the Serendra Sales Pavilion in Bonificio Global City captivated all who dropped by during its regular run from September 15-27. Many of the guests already knew about the Movement 8 brand, both as the country's leading design collective and individually as multi-faceted artists and industrial designers with a global cachet. It was a formidable collaboration; as unique and distinctive as the market for whom One Serendra was designed for.

Designs showcased in this integrated exhibit at the Serendra Sales Pavilion were creations and concepts of individuals dedicated to positive change on a local and global level. Movement 8's furniture, home accessories and art works are designed with sustainability of materials and crafts in mind. They please, inspire, and enhance the quality of life with creative solutions to issues regarding disappearing natural resources and craftsmanship, each evident in Movement 8's directions. From how it's made to how it looks, Movement 8 always makes a statement.

On the other hand, responsible real estate development must be able to integrate good business, good design, good management and good urban planning practices. The 12 hectare development of Serendra includes residential condominiums that are designed to offer a unique living experience while keeping a watchful eye on environmental sustainability. Serendra is considered by many to be the pioneering residential development of its kind in the market today with 7.5 hectares of the area left for open spaces and landscaped greenery. Each unit is part of an impressive whole including carefully selected details: unit finishes, fixtures, building features, and amenities that include touch points of a social environment and a live-work-play lifestyle: pocket gardens, pools, gyms, spa, and tropical landscaping, within an emerging business district, Bonifacio Global City. It is a development that has a much bigger picture of the neighborhood that it is creating.

As we live in a Post Design Age where concepts, ideas, and design are no longer an egotistical and isolated concern, it now addresses the needs of a bigger group. Design sees the bigger picture and knows it must adapt to a rapidly disappearing natural environment where resources can no longer be taken for granted. With parallelisms abound, Movement 8 installed in the Serendra Sales Pavilion underscores a philosophy that good design should reflect the needs of its users and respond to the surrounding environment. The quality of the built environment is enhanced by the fittings and furnishings that are placed in it.

The East Tower at One Serendra, in particular, is the new Ayala Land Premier high- rise condominium within the prime location of Bonifacio Global City. One Serendra is a distinctive and sprawling development consisting of low to mid-rise terraced sections in the first few phases gradually spiraling to taller sections in the later phases. It combines a European -inspired masterplan with silhouettes of distinctive Filipino vernacular architecture. A retail promenade at the center of the development connects Serendra to the city center of the Bonifacio Global City through Bonifacio High Street. The diverse mix of carefully vetted stores, restaurants, and office spaces give a vibrant, multi-cultural atmosphere to the place.

This exhibit in the Serendra Pavilion was a partnership of artistry between the country's leading real estate developer and the Movement 8 brand: 2 giant brands celebrating the best of global Filipino talent, in a one-of-a-kind, landmark exhibit.

The Serendra Sales Pavilion at 26th Street, Bonifacio Global City, from 9 am to 8 pm. For inquiries, please call 841-5769.
