99: Total number of female billionaires in the world, according to Forbes. Of this, 10 are self-made (2008).

$22.9 billion: Estimated worth of L'Oreal owner Liliane Bettencourt, said to be the world's richest woman.

$100 million: Estimated combined net worth of twins and former child stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, according to the 2007 Forbes? 20 Richest Women in Entertainment. The twins, then aged 20, were the youngest celebrities on the list.

7: Total number of women in the recent list of 40 Richest Filipinos by Forbes (2008)

600+: Number of company-owned and franchised Mercury Drug outlets in the country. Owners Vivian Que Azcona and family were ranked 13th in the 40 Richest Filipinos by Forbes. (2008)

$80 million: Estimated net worth of Betty Ang, president of Monde Nissin, popular manufacturer of instant noodles, according to the same Forbes list. The company has been active for almost 29 years.

2001: Year that the F Salon and Body Spa owned by Florisa Estandia-Mariano was started. As of June 2008, the salon has 175 branches all over Metro Manila and nearby Bulacan, Laguna and Pampanga.

P120,000: Required minimum gross annual income to be able to avail one?s self of Hongkong and Shanghai Bank?s RED Mastercard, the first credit card in the Philippines designed exclusively for women.

P136.8 million: Amount of loans extended to nearly 10,000 women by the Development Bank of the Philippines in 2001, according to a study by the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). The number of DBP women loan beneficiaries increased from 121 in 1998 to more than 9,600 in 2001.

11: Rank of former Filipina maid in London, Consuelo Valencia, in the 100 REAL Women of Achievement in UK in 2004. Valencia, who went to London in 1977 to work as a domestic helper, is now a multimillionaire after investing in the remittance and freight business, travel services, phone card dealership, real estate, recruitment and a publishing house.

41: Rank of Teresita Sy-Coson, daughter of tycoon Henry Sy and vice-chair of SM Investments Corp., in Fortune Magazine?s list of Most Powerful Women for 2007.

2007: Year Loida Nicolas Lewis was inducted into the Asian Hall of Fame, which honors achievements of Asian Americans. In 1994, Lewis took over as chair of multinational food company TLC Beatrice International Holdings after the death of her husband, African-American tycoon Reginald Lewis, in 1993.

P1,500: Monthly salary of Robina Gokongwei-Pe when she worked as a tagger in the receiving department of Robinsons Department Store in Ermita in 1984. She?s now senior VP and general manager of the family-owned Robinsons retail group.
