1959: Year the Dolphy-Panchito tandem was introduced in the movie, ?Kalabog en Bosyo.?

5+: Number of gay-themed movies made by comedy king Dolphy.

15+: Number of years the comedy classic ?John En Marsha? aired on Philippine television. It starred Dolphy and the late Nida Blanca as John and Marsha Puruntong, with Maricel Soriano as their daughter Shirley.

1925: Year that the romantic comedy tradition in Filipino cinema started. It is traced to Vicente Salumbides? first silent film, ?Miracles of Love.?

1915: Year that the earliest recorded Filipino slapstick comedy was shown. The comedy was ?Enchong, Ang Medicong Laway.?

5: Total number of Juan Tamad movies by comedian Manuel Conde. Conde is also known as the father of Jun Urbano, aka ?Mr Shooli."

4: Number of roles that Conde assumed in the 1959 movie ?Juan Tamad Goes to Congress,? that established him as the master of political satire. Conde was the movie?s director, writer, producer and actor.

1966-1969: Years when comedienne Chichay won the Citizen?s Awards for Television as best TV female supporting performer for ?The Nida-Nestor Show.? She also won the Manila Film Festival award for Outstanding Actress twice, the Tandang Sora Award, the Gintong Ina Award for Arts and Culture, the Philippine Movie Press Club Star Lifetime Achievement Award and the PMPC Ulirang Artista Award.

15: Number of movies that starred the Pugo and Togo comic duo

P300 million+: Combined earnings of the movies ?Ang Cute ng Ina Mo? (P155 million) and ?Ang Tanging Ina? (P160 million). Both movies starred Ai Ai delas Alas.

6: Number of years that the gag show ?Goin? Bananas? aired. The show, which topbilled Edgar Mortiz, Christopher de Leon, Johnny Delgado, Al Tantay and the late Jay Ilagan, started airing in 1986 and ended its run in 1992.

1997: Year that the situational comedy, ?Abangan ang Susunod na Kabanata? ended. The show, a political satire of the Philippine government, started airing in 1991.

2003: Year that Filipino-American stand-up comic Rex Navarrete released the DVD ?Hella Pinoy,? the first DVD live comedy show by a Fil-Am actor.

35: Total films that Charlie Chaplin made in 1914 alone. He made around 80 films in all.
