6: Approximate weight in pounds of the baby boy born to Lina Medina in Peru in 1939. Medina is said to be the youngest mother to give birth, and is said to have been about 5 years old at the time.

41: Approximate difference in years of Elizabeth Ann Buttle?s two children. Buttle, who holds the record for the longest interval between the births of two children, delivered her first-born in May 1956, and her youngest in November 1997.

2008: Year that the ?pregnant man? in Oregon gave birth. Thomas Beatie was born a woman but underwent surgery and hormone treatments to legally become a man. He kept his female reproductive organs, which enabled him to bear a child.

10,000: Amount in British pounds (around US $15,000) spent by a mother for plastic surgery, in order to look like her daughter. The mother and daughter, Janet and Jane Cunliffe, have a 22-year age gap.

11: Number of children born to an anonymous egg donor in Britain. The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority revealed recently that the donor held the record as the ?most successful egg donor? for the number of children born from her eggs.
