MANILA, Philippines ? (UPDATE) Defending champion San Sebastian came alive in the fourth quarter to carve out a 64-59 come-from-behind victory over Jose Rizal University and assured itself of a playoff in the Final Four race.

Down by as many as 13 at the start of the payoff period, the Stags turned up their shooting as they knocked down four three pointers and held the Bombers scoreless for the last seven minutes of the contest en route to the win.

Calvin Abueva led the pack with 13 points and 18 boards while Jonathan Semira and Ian Sangalang added 20 more points combined for San Sebastian, who now holds a 10-1 record.

JRU slipped to 8-3 with the loss but still has a firm hold of the third spot.

San Beda College also assured itself of a spot in the final four with the 92-61 drubbing of University of Perpetual Help in the first game.

Sophomore Sudan Daniel posted another triple double performance of 10 points, 10 rebounds, and a record 12 blocks as the Red Lions walloped the Altas anew for their 11 straight win to remain the only team unbeaten in the league thus far.

The Altas, in contrast, remained winless with a 0-10 record.
