MANILA, Philippines—If there’s one person who isn’t taking a break this summer, it’s Kenny Waymack. Hitting the waves and going on road trips take a backseat for this guy who says his favorite thing in summer is “work.”
Kenny hosts ETC’s “Chill Spot” (Sundays, 8 p.m.), a show that features hot trends.
But style-spotting isn’t the only thing that’s keeping him busy. He hosts events, models, dances and performs in a boyband called Voyz_Avenue.
Our e-mail interview
What is your fitness regimen?
I run about 15-20 minutes to start. Then I dance for about two hours or more followed by a variety of abs exercises of 300 reps. Then 50 push-ups, and if there’s still time, I go to the machines and work out my upper body.
What’s your personal style, what clothes do you usually wear?
My style really depends on the occasion. If I want to dress up and be trendy, I’ll wear stylish jeans with a dress shirt and fashionable shoes.
Regularly, I’ll still wear the jeans with a nice vintage T-shirt or T-shirt with print on the front and maybe a cap.
What do you wear in summer?
Jean shorts with a light fabric and light colored T-shirt as well as sandals or tennis shoes.
What do you like seeing on girls in summer?
I love to see girls in a tube top or noodle-strap top, hair up, with shades... maybe a cap and wearing either jeans, a skirt, or even a light fabric dress with flip-flops. Of course, the clothes have to complement the women, meaning not too tight and not too loose.
What scent do you like?
Right now I’m using “Just Me” for men by Paris Hilton. I also like Kenneth Cole’s Reaction, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo and Nautica Sport.
What’s your favorite thing to do in summer?
This may sound a little strange... but I love to work during the summer, haha!?
I love performing for a crowd during this time because the people on vacation are usually very happy and friendly.
Of course, aside from work, I like to hang out with friends and family on the beach or recreational areas.
What’s your favorite summer destination?
My favorite summer destination would have to be Orlando, Florida. Not only because I’m from there, but because they have the greatest theme parks in the world such as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Busch Gardens, and many more water parks... not to mention the many malls and beaches around the area. So many choices!
