Breathe new life into old furniture

Project 1

Turn a blah console table into a Paul Smith Mini Cooper-inspired one.

Materials: colored scotch tape (pink, yellow, green, blue), colored electric tape, scissors, cutter

Steps: Randomly stick tape vertically around the table to form stripes.

Total Project cost: P200 (not including the table)

Project 2

Give your kitchen doors a floral makeover.

Materials: scrap fabric, double-sided tape, scissors

Steps: Cut fabric design to form different shapes. Using double-sided tape, stick it to the cabinet.

Total Project Cost: P325

Project 3

Turn a simple wooden cabinet into a fashionable message armoire.

Materials: old magazine pages, black cartolina, scissors, double-sided tape, chalk, measuring tape

Steps:

1. Measure the frame size of the cabinet door.
2. Cut magazine sheets based on the frame size.
3. Use double-sided tape to stick magazine pages to the frame.
4. Measure the size of the middle portion of the cabinet.
5. Cut and stick black cartolina to the middle portion of the door.

6. Using chalk, draw some artwork, write words or any message you want to convey.

Total project cost: P280
