You rocks!

Philippine Daily Inquirer

Last updated 17:52:00 10/24/2008

FASHION and music collide when You magazine celebrated its launch at Warehouse 135 last Oct. 18. The party was presented by Nokia.

The rocking night of style and sounds featured the creations of 20 young talented designers from such fashion schools as the School of Fashion and the Arts, De La Salle College of St. Benilde, LaSalle SIA, and Fashion Institute of the Philippines.

Live music was performed by Pin-up Girls, Nyctinasty, Miguel Escueta, Sleepwalk Circus, Musical O, DJ Mars Miranda, Up Dharma Down, and Rico Blanco.

You magazine paid tribute to youth icons Rosanna Aranaz, Princess Violago, Danielle Lee, Paui Peña, Iana Bantug, Nico Ibaviosa, Borgy Hermida, Simon Atkins, Jai Reyes, Karen Pamintuan, Maxene Magalona, Enchong Dee, Carlo Guevarra, Megan Young, Schinina Juban, Miguel Escueta and Carlo Alvarez.

Guests participated in Nokia’s slambook booth, experienced being celebs through a You magazine cover photobooth, and watched as Wewilldoodle illustrated and expressed themselves.

Nooka watches were given away for prizes, as well as Nokia phones, and a makeover.

Rockin’ YoU’s major sponsors were Audiophile and Nooka. Other sponsors were Levi’s 501, The Body Shop, and Coors light, Careline, and Mango Rhum. Media partners were the Philippine Daily Inquirer and INQUIRER.net.
