What you?ll need:
Velvet or suede ankle boots
Two 1.5 yards, 2-inch thick colored velvet ribbons
Two color threads to match the ribbons
A pack of silver or gunmetal studs
Needle, thread and scissors

Step 1: To the rim
Cover the boot opening with one ribbon, leaving half an inch of ribbon allowance from the rim. Fold the allowance toward the inside of the boot and hem.

Step 2: Twist and turn
Using the second ribbon, cut two five-inch long strips. On the front and inner side of the boot, sew each ribbon in between the boot and the first ribbon. Twist towards the opening of the boot and hem. Cut another two strips, nine inches in length. Position the ribbon at the back and outer side of the boot, but this time, hem from the opening of the boot first. Twist and tie these two ribbons into a bow.

Step 3: Star-studded
Sew studs on the first colored ribbon in the front and inner side of the boot.
