Cross over to the feminine side

MANILA, Philippines ? Contrary to popular belief, figuring out what women want is actually fairly simple. Recognize their talents, put on some smooth sounds, and throw in accessories into the mix and you?re sure they will be pleased. This week, cross over to the feminine side by checking out the following events.

Shoes

Discover something that women have known all along: shoes are works of art. See ?Portraits of Shoes, Stories of Feet,? an exhibit of 18th to 21th century shoes by French curator Yves Sabourin at the Yuchengco Museum, RCBC Plaza, Ayala Ave. cor. Sen. Gil Puyat Ave., Makati until June 20. To highlight the interplay of cultures, this exhibit will be alongside shoes from the Marikina Shoe Museum collection and exciting designs from top Filipino shoe designers. Girl power

Lady sings

One of music?s legendary icons from the 1950s, and one of the best-selling female artists in traditional pop music with over 100 million records sold, Patti Page, comes to the Philippines on Friday, May 8, for a concert entitled Patti Page Greatest Hits.
