MANILA, Philippines—In the increasingly fashionable Ho Chi Minh, Nokia unveiled the new Supernova mobile phones—the 7210, 7310, 7510, and the 7610. Stylish and trendy, they change along with you.

“People like to change. They embrace change,” says Daniel Gratiot, senior design manager for Nokia. “They want to project their personalities.”

“People have their work life,” Gratiot added, “they have their private life. So, the ability to change your product to match the way you live your life makes perfect sense.”

The design inspirations for the set are wide—ranging from shades and eye glasses to colorful nail polish, radiant jelly fish, and the returning fashion trends of bright colors.

Dolly Chin, head of GTM Live Category for Asia Pacific of Nokia, explains that the name Supernova “captures the essence of energy, optimism, and surprises.”

The phones, at first glance, look energetic and hip. They are bold and loud. “You can be a very trendy and stylish person no matter what age you are,” said Chin.

But more than just projecting the personalities of their owners, the phones express the flexibility of lifestyles.

“They are always with us, and our phones have become an extension of ourselves,” explained Chriss Carr, vice president for sales for Southeast Asia and the Pacific. “It has become a reflection of our style.”

The new Supernova series, according to Carr, “give people an option to truly personalize their look by matching the style of their phone to their ever-changing moods.”

With multimedia functions such as music players, video recording, and of course, the ever sought-after camera, the Supernova series is expected to deliver hours of fun with friends while projecting the inner self in a way no other phone has been able to before.

After all, your phone is you. It knows all your secrets. It becomes a vault of your most treasured messages and photographs. If you are your phone, then it should, at the very least, look like you.

Meet the latest addition to the Nokia family:

7210 Supernova

Simplicity with style

Features: slim design, 2 MP camera with flash, stereo music player with FM radio

Verdict: Without the exchangeable Xpress-On covers, you’re stuck with ‘bubble gum pink’ or ‘vivid blue’ but at least they are still fun and exciting colors. Slim design makes it stylish and chic.

7310 Supernova

Sleek stylish chameleon

Features: 2 MP camera, TV out connection, Stereo music player with FM radio, Exchangeable Xpress-On covers

Verdict: Definitely a trendy looking phone, it becomes an even more malleable accessory with 6 different colors to choose from the available Xpress-On cover designs allowing it to “change” with your moods and outfit. This is the phone that can match almost anything in your wardrobe.

7510 Supernova

Flippin’ over magical lights

Features: Exchangeable Xpress-On covers, 2 MP camera with flash, Stereo music player with FM radio, Hidden secondary display with landscape mode, flip phone

Verdict: Flip phones are always sexy but charm them with the additional magical light display on the cover when the phone is shut. Sturdy yet with an iconic design, this is a phone that states you mean business.

7610 Supernova

Sliding into color

Features: Exchangeable Xpress-On covers, 3.2 mega pixel camera with flash, TV out connection, Stereo music player with FM radio, Theme Colorizer with color detection, Slider phone
