Individualize your Inbox

GOOD news for Gmail fans: themes are now available to modify the look and feel of your accounts.

You might want to first enjoy Gmail?s new default look, which is crisper and cleaner, thanks to a little change in the colors. But if you can?t wait to change the look of your Gmail account, just go click on Settings, and then Themes, and then you can choose one of the 31 colorful themes to make your e-mail experience more fun.

For those who want a simple change, you can choose a color palette theme such as Marina (in different shades of blue) or Sunset (composed of brown and orange, which reminds me of orange-flavored chocolate). Two other easy-on-the-eyes themes are Shiny, which has a gradient gray shade as the background, and the charming Cherry Blossoms, which features, of course, lots of pink flowers.

Some of the themes are nature-inspired such as Tree, Beach, Mountains and Summer Ocean. What?s interesting is that some of these themes automatically change scenery over time, according to your location. Other themes have cute cartoons in them such as ninjas, a curly-haired girl holding a nice ice lolly and a giraffe with a seriously long neck.

A sure standout would have to be the Desk theme, which has a wood background to give you that desk effect (complete with polaroids, a calculator, a pencil and a coffee spill). Even more amazing is how the inbox is transformed into a spring-bound notepad.

Enjoy G-mailing with a new theme today.
