Postcard-pretty phone camera

By Luis Carlo San Juan

PEOPLE love to take photos, whether for vanity or for just capturing a moment. But cameras can get a bit bulky, that?s why Nokia recently launched a new ?it? phone that would definitely become a hit ? the Nokia 6700 Classic.

It has a sleek, simple, metallic design and earns raves for being functional. It is, in fact, inspired by Coco Chanel?s little black dress ? simple, chic yet functional; a definite style staple.

Chanel?s fashion philosophy was taken to heart by Nokia. The phone continues the legacy of the Nokia 6300, which topped all sales records for a midrange mobile phone.

The Nokia 6700 raises the bar even higher with a beautiful, slim design and perfectly balanced practicality. The phone combines smooth surfaces, rich materials and precisely crafted parts with a full metal keymat, which completes the premium finish.

The phone comes with a five-megapixel camera, assisted GPS navigation with Nokia Maps, and high-speed data access, which means sharing images or video is faster and easier than ever.

We put the phone to the test when Nokia took us on a food trip to three restaurants, part of Philippine Tatler?s ?Best Restaurants Guide for 2009.?

The tour included the premier Japanese restaurant, Kai, for appetizers, Lusso for the main course, and lastly Sala Bistro?s desserts, which was probably the best part for someone with a sweet tooth like me.

As an added bonus, the Nokia 6700 Classic also comes with a cute monkey-themed graphic wallpaper, which eats a banana when you charge it.
