Since it?s been serving good Japanese food since 2005, you can?t say Red Kimono has a boring menu. With over 20 choices in sushi alone, you?re sure to find something that will hit the spot. They also offer Better Than Buffet for only P485, where you can order anything from the Buffet menu and will be served to you a la carte.

We recommend:

Crunchy Maki? a Red Kimono bestseller, with good reason

San Diego Roll? with crabmeat, salmon, scallops and bits of tuna, this is seafood heaven

Sushi Shots? available in ebi, tuna, and kani, make sure you can open wide as it?s best enjoyed in one big bite.

Make no mistake? they might have DJs on weekends and a full bar but this place isn?t only that; it?s a restaurant that serves very good Chinese food. The menu was developed by Chef Ojie Reloj, an instructor for the Asian Discovery Class at the Center of Culinary Arts. Just opened last March, the restaurant/bar seats a hundred but you still need a reservation if you want to go on weekends.

Must-tries:

Cantonese Fried Chicken? It?s fried to a crisp and served with a special black vinegar sauce, we couldn?t get enough. The sauce is half of the adventure, as we have discovered.

Rice Pilaf? it?s good enough to be eaten as it is.

Celebrating its second year in the bar scene, this is where friends go to have a good time. A full menu is available, and with dishes such as Pot Roast and several kinds of pasta, you won?t go hungry. Fridays and Saturdays are usually crowded, so come early to stake claim on your favorite corner.

Don?t leave without trying:

Mint Cocktail? it?s fragrant and refreshing and pack a mighty punch

Mint Float? it?s not a dessert drink, but with the whipped cream on top it will have you craving for more.

With its Moroccan Gothic décor, Piedra is where people go to unwind after a long day. A place for drinking and dancing, DJs spin the best music?hiphop and R&B on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and house music on Fridays. There?s also the al fresco section with couches and pillows, a good place to put your feet up and enjoy Piedra, the signature drink.

You can also chow on:

Pizza Minogio? We?re not kidding when we say this is very good.

Salmon Canapes? smoked salmon and cream cheese, made the Piedra way.
