MANILA, Philippines?Waking up in the morning of a weekday is no longer an ordeal for those who tune in to the Good Times Gang?s early morning show on Magic 89.9. With the show?s signature talk radio format, the trio of DJs Mo Twister, Mojo Jojo, and Grace Lee has brought to local FM radio an early-morning program that has given listeners a welcome boost to start the day with its off-the-wall games, contests and conversations.
Part of the struggle of a morning program is the time. With ?Good Times? airing at 7:30 a.m., it is also difficult for the program hosts to get themselves revved up for the show.
DJ Mo Twister says working on material for the morning show keeps him up late. ?I don?t think anyone is a morning person, but work is work. It?s a responsibility we have to keep,? says Mo.
DJ Mojo Jojo describes early-morning Mo as ?a bit groggy when he wakes up, but after a while, he?s back to his usual acerbic self.?
Mojo himself admits that it takes him forever to wake up in the morning. ?I?m a deep sleeper,? he says. ?When I get out of bed, I?m literally like a zombie?my body functions but my mind isn?t there sometimes.?
Grace feels exactly the same. ?If not for the radio show, I would never wake up so early,? she confesses.
To get them in the mood for the radio program, they all have their own personal rituals. Mo likes to eat or drink something sweet before the show ?for a little burst of energy to get the ?good times? going.?
Mojo says a hot drink before leaving home gets him ready, and a heavy dose of dance music on the drive to the radio station gets his energy up.
Grace feeds off the energy of his co-hosts. ?When I first started, I was surprised at how quickly they turned energetic so early in the morning,? she says. ?After a few weeks of being with them, I realized that it was rather hard not to be upbeat. Interesting topics, fun games, our callers, texters and guests constantly add entertainment value to the show. I spend half of the time laughing, and that?s where all the energy comes from, I guess.?
But when the Good Times Gang want to relax and get in the mood in or out of the studio, they reach out for Lipton Milk Tea. Mo admits, ?I don?t really drink coffee, but tea I really do like. I like Lipton Milk Tea?s Gold variant. It has that touch of sweetness that really gets me going. It?s easy to prepare and fits in the fast pace of getting ready for our morning show.?
?When I first tried Lipton Milk Tea, I really enjoyed it,? says Mojo. ?It?s creamy and sweet, but not too strong, with no bitter aftertaste. Sometimes, I make a batch at home and then chill it. It?s a refreshing drink especially when it?s hot outside. To be honest, I drink milk tea to soothe or when I simply want to relax.?
Grace says she didn?t think twice about adding Lipton Milk Tea to her daily diet. ?I am a tea drinker, and I really don?t drink coffee. I have always liked milky, sweet teas. So when I first tried Lipton Milk Tea it was the perfect drink for me. It is usually a hassle to brew tea and make it into milk tea so early in the morning, but Lipton has made it so convenient for tea lovers like me. So, it is definitely a part of my daily routine.?
It is not surprising that Lipton Milk Tea is the drink of choice for the Good Times Gang when they want to be in a good mood. Lipton Milk Tea combines the goodness of tea and milk for a rich, creamy, smooth and delicately sweet flavored drink to put you in a good mood.
Tea has theanine, a naturally occurring amino acid found exclusively in tea, which naturally stimulates brain activity and put you in a relaxed but alert mental state. When you drink a cup of tea, you feel a wave of calmness come over you that puts you in a good mood.
