4. Gerald Genta Mickey Racing Singapore
Where: The Hour Glass
For F1, Gérald Genta is producing the Mickey Racing Singapore watch (S$19,700). Clad in a racing suit, the Walt Disney character that has been inseparably linked to the watch brand since the early 1980s cuts a fine figure in the center of the silver-colored carbon-style embossed dial base. His articulated arm points to the retrograde minutes marked out on a semi-circle facing him, while the chequered flag appearing behind him is interrupted to leave space for the jumping-hour display emphasized by a rhodium-plated metal decorative fillet. Meanwhile, a classic central seconds hand completes an exceptionally readable overall layout.
In tribute to Singapore, the model depicts the head of the famous Merlion, painted in red at the top of the dial, just where the minute arc begins. Presented in a contrasting case with brushed steel bezel and polished steel fluted band and worn on a rubber strap, the Mickey Racing Singapore automatic watch is also distinguished by a special engraving on the back.
